John Herzog's professional career began while he was still a student at Hollywood High School. His first paying gig ($4 a performance) was as a supernumerary (an extra) for the world-renowned Old Vic Company from England in Romeo and Juliet at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. He pretended to play a recorder and was onstage alone for a full thirty seconds before the stars insisted on getting on with the rest of the play. John's roles since that time have included such motion picture and television roles as the films _Rogues (2002)_ and Human Highway and the television programs Making a Living, Open All Night, The Powers of Mathew Star as well as the role of Asa's wisecracking pilot Dave Adler on One Life to Live.
