Chad was born March 29th, 1980 in Orange, California to Scott Peter and Cynthia Holden. A military family, they moved frequently before settling in the outskirts of Denver, Colorado in the late 1980's. After attending high school in Evergreen, Colorado, Chad attended a local community college with an emphasis on the technical aspects of video production before transferring to the University of Colorado at Boulder to further study the art of film.
In 2003, Chad graduated the University of Colorado with a BFA and moved to Los Angeles, CA. After working on the 20th Century Fox Studio Lot for two years, primarily in music licensing, he left to focus again on film and video production, ultimately leading to the production of his first feature film, the independently produced, Apocalypse, CA (2011).
As of early 2016, Chad works within the visual effects industry, with a focus in motion picture stabilization and VFX composition. He has worked on such acclaimed films as Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) and Gone Girl (2014), although he is best known for his stabilization and camera re-animation work on seasons 2 thru 4 of Netflix's flagship show, House of Cards (2013), having overseen the complete re-animation of every motion shot on the series during that time.
Outside of visual effects work, Chad continues to produce and direct films of his own, with plans to direct a second feature film, Black Flower, by early 2017.
